Telstra urges rural customers to look for the tick

With Telstra's CDMA network closed down the company is again advising its customers moving on to the Telstra Next G network to use Telstra’s Blue Tick handsets if living or travelling in rural Australia...

Currently Telstra has 30 Next G handsets available, with seven that have the Blue Tick for recommended handheld use in rural areas. The primary reason for choosing the tick phones is because the distance between cell phone towers is far greater in rural Australia than in urban areas, and the tick phones has been proven to provide the best reception.
