Construction company says partnership with HP has already reduced costs and improved staff productivity…

Construction company Leighton Contractors has extended its managed print services contract with Hewlett- Packard.

Leighton Contractors currently has over $9 billion work in hand and employs more than 9,500 people across Australia and New Zealand. The company services clients across a range of industries and sectors including resources, construction, telecommunications, energy, infrastructure and facility management.

The managed print services contract with HP helped drive down costs by optimising Leighton’s imaging and printing infrastructure and managing the total imaging and printing environment, while helping to reduce the company’s environmental impact.

“We have decided to renew our Managed Print Services contract with HP because our existing HP printing infrastructure has reduced the cost of our printing, improved staff productivity, and reduced our environmental footprint,” says Leighton Contractors CIO Diane Fernley-Jones.

“This is largely due to the various software solution tools and features in the printing devices that we use across the organisation.”

Leighton Contractors is utilising various environmental printer solutions across HP Multi-Function Printers (MFPs) and HP LaserJet devices across the organisation. With the renewed HP contract, Leighton Contractors will be utilising HP’s Access Control solution, which allows the organisation to control who has access to which printers in the office. It also allows the IT department to monitor and report on usage to identify areas for optimisation and control, improve productivity, and minimise environmental impact.
