About QAD

We founded QAD in 1979 with a vision to develop software exclusively for manufacturing companies. Today we are proud that our products are used by over 6,000 manufacturers in 90 countries.

Early in our evolution we embraced the emergence of open systems, which today form the foundation of most companies’ applications architecture. Many global companies chose QAD for our global manufacturing focus and multinational support. Over 60 percent of our revenue is derived outside the United States.

Today, we focus on supply chain collaboration and developing products that are easy to learn and intuitive to operate. We back up our products with world class Services and Support. We have more than 1,400 people dedicated to delivering the best user experience in the world.

As majority shareholders we have been able to remain focused on our customers and vision without distraction through market ups and downs. We are focused on providing the best combination of software and services for our customers and have chosen to avoid the consolidation going on in the software business today. We have built a business with a customer focused culture, a strong and experienced global executive team and an impressive board of directors.

While other companies may be larger than QAD, none has our complete focus on global manufacturing companies. For the past 30 years we have focused on a select set of vertical markets in manufacturing: automotive, consumer packaged goods, food and beverage, high tech, industrial products and life sciences. Companies in these industries produce products to their own design specifications and then deliver them in multiple countries.

This focus has ensured that we continue to deliver products that are simple to implement and precisely meet the needs of our customers in those industries.

As part of our commitment to our customers and to ensure we respond to pressures that they face we operate development groups in each of our target industries, and have a strong focus on customer feedback at all levels in our business.

We recognize the challenges faced by our customers and we bring to that challenge a combination of vision, commitment and technology to help them excel in today’s environment.

Sincerely,

Pam and Karl Lopker
President and CEO

The QAD Vision: The Perfect Lean Market

Consider this: The same powerful and proven lean principles that drive efficiency within a manufacturing plant can be equally applied to each part of the extended enterprise — and to every connection in the global supply and demand network.

The Perfect Lean Market envisions a frictionless supply chain where information is freely shared in real time, processes are reduced to only value-added tasks, and waste is eliminated throughout the value stream.

Driven by our passion for the manufacturing industry, QAD’s goal is to guide the global manufacturing community toward this marketplace vision, with industry thought leadership, and innovative product and service offerings that help drive lean principles across the extended enterprise.

The Perfect Lean Market is not a destination, but a journey. We invite you to join us on the quest:
